These vitamins and supplements support the health of the vitreous of the eye.
The vitreous humour of the eye, the gel-like material which fills the eyeball performs a multitude of functions. As we age, the vitreous becomes thinner and less gel-like, and shrinks somewhat. Although it is only minimally directly attached to the tissue around it, such shrinkage can give rise to increased amounts of debris floating in the vitreous (Eye floaters) and, more seriously, distinct vitreous detachment.
