Bromelain is an enzyme that comes from the stem of the pineapple plant. This bromelain formulation is enterically coated in order to prevent the bromelain from becoming active in the stomach where it would behave like a digestive enzyme Some medical providers recommend bromelain to be taken with antibiotics if one has a bladder/urinary tract infection.

Other ingredients include: microcrystalline cellulose, maltodextrin, stearic acid, silica, croscarmellose sodium, vegetable stearate, enteric coating (methacrylic acid copolymer dispersion NF, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, propylene glycol). This product does contain corn.

***The bromelain powder used in this product has the strength of 2400 GDU (gelatin digestive units) per gram/5200International Pharmaceutical Federation units per gram by European standards.

CAUTION: If you are taking anti-coagulant or anti-platelet medications or have a bleeding disorder, please consult your healthcare provider before taking this product. Bromelain may increase the bioavailability of tetracycline antibiotics.

Recommended Dosage: Take one (1) enteric coated tablet 2 times per day (best taken) on an empty stomach, or as recommended by a healthcare practitioner.
